Coho Salmon (August Through November
While we are in Astoria , Oregon fishing for king salmon we also are catching coho salmon at the same time. Coho are a very fun acrobatic fighting fish that is at the same time incredible table fare. After fall salmon in Astoria we take a break on Coho but come back to the Mouth of the Klickitat river in November to fish them again. The coho mass usually shows up a little later than the kings, but when they show up at the Klickitat is very action packed with liberal limits usually up to 3 fish per person. This year our Coho prediction is over a million fish … that is something like we’ve never seen. This fall coho fishing at the Klickitat is literally going to be a “November to remember”
