Fall Chinook ( Kings )

We spend 3 solid months every fall chasing king salmon on the Columbia River. We start in Astoria, Oregon in August at the famous Buoy 10 fishery. This world renowned salmon fishery is where the Columbia meets the Pacific Ocean. Catching kings that are literally minutes out of the ocean. The freshest fish and most exciting fishing there is . Once we leave Astoria, we head for the Hanford Reach. The Hanford Reach is the known as the last free flowing stretch of the Columbia River and is home to some of the most epic salmon fishing the Pacific Northwest has to offer with several hundred thousand kings destined there every fall. We fish this mid September through the end of October. This is also a fishery we guide on the Columbia River that books up very fast and ends up booked solid every year so make sure to get your date booked soon!

Summer Kings

The month of July on the Upper Columbia river provides some fantastic king salmon opportunities as well and could be argued as our favorite time of the year. Fishing near the town of Brewster, gives us the option of fishing Chelan Falls, Wells Dam and the Brewster Pool at the mouth of the Okanogan river. At the same time we are fishing summer kings , our summer sockeye season is open offering us the chance at catching both kings and sockeye each day. Because of where this fishery is located and the timing it becomes a great summer vacation fishery. The surrounding areas of Wenatchee, Lake Chelan, Pateros, and Alta Lake give you many options for vacation plans and lodging. Including some fantastic golf options for after fishing at Gamble Sands Golf Course and Desert Canyon as well as multiple courses in Lake Chelan.
