The Hanford Reach is one of the best fall King Salmon fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. This free-flowing stretch of the Columbia River runs through Eastern Washington just upriver from the Tri-Cities and is home to a huge return of fall Chinook salmon every year.

From mid-September through October, we target these hard-fighting Upriver Brights throughout the Hanford Reach, including the Vernita Bridge and Ringold areas.

Fishing the Reach changes throughout the season. River flows, water temperature and fish movement can all affect where and how we fish. Knowing when to move, where fish are holding and how to adjust to changing conditions is a big part of consistently putting our customers on salmon.

Plughoff Outfitters has spent years fishing the Columbia River and Hanford Reach, and this is one of our favorite fisheries of the year.
